Care & Maintenance
To keep your warranty valid and your products performing their best:
Clean frames with mild dish soap and water — never use harsh solvents or abrasives.
Keep window tracks and “weep holes” clear of dirt and debris.
Regularly check weatherstripping and hardware for proper function.
Avoid pressure washing or using petroleum-based cleaners.
These simple steps help preserve both the appearance and performance of your products.
Other Product Warranties
For other product lines and materials — such as siding, entry doors, and specialty systems — warranties vary by manufacturer. Each brand we work with provides its own product-specific warranty coverage, and our team will review these details with you during your consultation.

Guides, Tips & More
Fiberglass doors, often with an insulated core, are known for long-term durability. Many last 30 years or more with minimal maintenance. Fiber cement siding often gets attention for durability, but fiberglass doors offer similar resistance to weather exposure. Fiber cement products are engineered to handle moisture and temperature swings, and fiberglass performs in a similar way. Unlike solid wood, fiberglass does not absorb moisture easily, which helps prevent moisture damage and mold growth. Homeowners committed to low upkeep often choose fiberglass because it handles environmental factors like heat, cold, and heavy rain without breaking down.
The ideal inspection frequency is twice per year. Regular inspections in the spring help identify weather damage caused by winter conditions, while fall inspections prepare your home for colder temperatures. Many homeowners also benefit from scheduling additional inspections after heavy rain, strong winds, or hail. These environmental factors can impact exterior materials quickly. If you want a minimum standard, annual inspections are acceptable, but regular siding inspections twice a year provide better protection and long-term performance. Routine inspections help detect cracks, moisture problems, and areas where siding has become exposed to the elements. For most homes, this schedule creates a reliable maintenance rhythm.
A secure exterior door is a complete system. The door, door frame, hinges, and locking systems all play a role in door security. If one component fails, the entire system becomes vulnerable to forced entry. High quality doors are built with reinforced frames and strong hardware to improve structural integrity. This approach ensures your entry door performs under pressure and delivers reliable security over time.
