What “lifetime warranty” typically covers
1) Frames & Sashes
Protection against manufacturing defects (warping, cracking, blistering, peeling) under normal residential use.
2) Insulated Glass Unit (IGU) Seal
Coverage for seal failure (fogging/condensation between panes). This is the heart of genuine “lifetime” window warranties.
3) Hardware & Balances
Coverage for locks, cranks, rollers, and balance systems that affect safe operation.
4) Exterior Color / Finish (if applicable)
Many modern dark finishes include separate finish warranties. We’ll state coverage term and conditions in writing.
Optional add-ons (brand dependent):
Accidental glass breakage (often offered as an upgrade)
Screen frames (usually limited; mesh damage is typically excluded)
What’s usually not covered (industry-standard exclusions)
Improper use or unauthorized alterations (films, tints, aftermarket hardware)
Damage from building movement/settlement or acts of nature (storms, floods)
Normal wear items like caulk and weatherstrip replacement after years of service
Improper cleaning (abrasives, harsh chemicals on Low-E glass/finishes)
Installation performed by others (if you didn’t use Elevate’s crews)
We’ll highlight any exclusions in plain language on your contract.
Our workmanship (installation) warranty
Even great windows underperform if they’re poorly installed. Elevate backs its installation with a written workmanship warranty that covers:
Air/water infiltration caused by install error
Out-of-square setting, poor flashing/sill-pan practice
Improper foam/air-seal application affecting performance
Term: Shown on your agreement (many homeowners choose lifetime-on-labor packages for as long as you own your home; transfer options available—see below).
Transferability when you sell
A transferable warranty is a selling point. Many “lifetime” warranties allow a one-time transfer to the next homeowner if you notify the manufacturer (and/or Elevate) within a stated window (commonly 30–60 days). We’ll include the exact steps and any small transfer fee in your paperwork to keep things clean at closing.
Registration & claims (how it works)
Register
We register your windows and provide digital copies of labels, invoices, and spec sheets (U-Factor, SHGC).
You’ll receive a warranty packet with your order numbers and service contact.
Claim
Email photos + your order number to our service desk.
We diagnose (often remotely), then schedule a tech if needed.
We coordinate with the manufacturer when replacement parts are required.
You’re kept updated on timelines (factory lead times vary by brand/season).
Flexible financing: pick a plan that fits your budget
Everyone’s cash flow is different. We offer a mix of plans (subject to credit approval) so you can choose savings or speed:
1) Low Monthly Payment Plans
Fixed APR with terms (e.g., 36–120 months)
Predictable payments, no prepayment penalties
Great for larger, whole-home window projects
2) Promotional 0% APR for a Period
Pay off during a 6/12/18-month promo window to avoid interest
Perfect if you anticipate cash within the promo period (bonuses, tax refunds)
3) Same-as-Cash (Deferred Interest)
No interest if paid in full by the deadline
If a balance remains after the promo, standard APR applies
4) Split Funding
Combine cash + finance to keep payments small and still retain flexibility
We’ll quote multiple side-by-side scenarios on your estimate so you can see the monthly impact instantly. There are no prepayment penalties—pay it off early if you like.
What you’ll need to apply (typical)
Government ID and basic income/employment info
Co-applicant optional (can improve approval and/or rate)
Soft or hard credit pull depends on lender/program (we’ll tell you up front)

FAQs
Is “lifetime” really for life?
It’s a lifetime limited warranty—coverage lasts for as long as you own the home (terms vary by component and brand). We spell out every term in writing.
Can I transfer the warranty if I sell?
In most cases, yes—one-time transfer with timely notice. We provide the exact steps and forms.
What if glass fogs years later?
That’s typically a seal failure. With registered lifetime IGU coverage, we arrange replacement based on your serial/order info.
Do promo financing plans have penalties?
No prepayment penalties. Deferred-interest plans require payoff within the promo window to avoid interest; we’ll show exact dates in your paperwork.
Will black windows fade or warp?
Modern finishes use heat-reflective pigments and include dedicated finish warranties. We’ll review coverage for your climate and exposure.
